My Research
My research is in computer networking and cybersecurity. On the networking side, I work on network analytics, programmable and software-defined networking (SDN), time-sensitive networking (TSN) and cyber-physical systems. On the security side, I work on network and IoT security, ML-driven anomaly and intrusion detection, and cyber-physical systems security.
Recent work includes integrating wired and wireless TSN with SDN, priority-based scheduling for consistent network updates in SDN, and detecting DDoS flooding attacks with machine learning on programmable switches. Earlier work looked at securing smart-home IoT networks with SDN and OpenFlow (IoT-IDM, IoT-NetSec) and static permission analysis of apps in IoT programming frameworks (PGFit).
